Segugio Italiano Breed

Description : An ancient breed that has had many returns to 'vogue'. A strong muscular dog with no fat, this is an independent sort that loves to hunt, he has a good 'voice' and is very frugal to feed. The convex muzzle, should be half the length of it's head, which should be lean and thin skinned. Ears are triangular, flat wide and pendent. Neck is lean without dewlap and the tail is sickle-shaped. There are two varieties to this hound, short-haired, which should be thick and gleaming, and rough-haired which should be coarse and not more than 6 inches(15cm) on the body.Colours are all shades of solid tan, and black and tan. The tan type may have some white markings at specific points.
